Texas Heathens is proud to announce our very own show team! It is our mission to support the youth of Harris County, Montgomery County, Waller County, Fort Bend, and Brazoria County by investing in youth who show livestock that exhibit leadership skills, a positive mindset, and a willingness to learn and serve others. If you're looking for monetary support only, then this is NOT the team for you.
We want to be upfront about our team membership. Here you'll find everything you can expect from your membership.
Shortly after acceptance onto the show team, you'll receive a welcome packet that includes a drawstring bag, logo tee, rope halter, other goodies and free samples.
As a member, you'll have your photo taken and be featured on our website as well as our social media pages.
We'll be hosting clinics periodically for proper care of your livestock, showmanship, and other events.
It is our hope that we are able to work with the community, do some fundraising and provide scholarships to our graduating seniors.
Team members will be required to be active in the group. By participating in events, team member will earn points. Points can be traded for awards such as a team buckle at the end of their term.
The following are the requirments to be a member in good standing.
There is a $10 non-refundable application fee. You can pay this fee using the listing in our shop. All applications received that did not pay the application fee will be disqualified.
Annual dues will be required for each participant selected. These dues ensure that each member is fully invested in being part of the team. This fee has been reduced to $50 for the 2021/2022 inaugural year.
Team members will be required to participate in team activities, clinics, social events, & photo opps to remain active. These events earn points. Points can be exchanged for awards at the end of the member's term such as team buckle, tack, and/or logo gear.
